River Rose Band Plays The Dances After The Lawton Rodeo Friday And Saturday Night

Tonight is the first night of the 88th annual Lawton Rangers Rodeo. This year's rodeo will host events nightly from Wednesday through Saturday at the LO Ranch Arena, west of Lawton. Each night will host different themes, and a dance on Friday and Saturday.

The Lawton Rangers Rodeo is the largest PRCA rodeo in the state of Oklahoma. This year will be the 88th annual rodeo. The rodeo will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night, starting Wednesday, August 5, through Saturday, August 8. Each night will feature different themes or ticket deals. The Lawton Rangers will also host a dance on Friday and Saturday after the rodeo.

Visitors attending the rodeo this week will need to be mindful of various guidelines set by the Lawton Rangers.

What to know before the Lawton Rangers Rodeo.

After 88 years, there have been many Lawton residents who have grown up attending the rodeo. But with Fort Sill bringing in new people every day, there will always be attendees who have never been to the Lawton Rangers Rodeo.

Below are the nightly themes for this year's rodeo.

• Wednesday, August 5 - $10 Carload
• Thursday, August 6 - Pink Night and $10 Carload
• Friday, August 7 - Military Night
• Saturday, August 8 - Grand Finale

Below is the information people need to know before attending the annual Lawton Rangers Rodeo.

• There will be no re-entry after exiting the arena.
• Attendees are not allowed to bring in outside food or drink, and no coolers allowed. Alcohol purchased at the rodeo must be consumed before exiting the arena.
• Those participating in the Grand Entry must review rules on the Lawton Rangers website.
• Tickets can be purchased in advance at various locations in Lawton or online. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. Tickets are also available at the gate for $20 for adults and $10 for children.
• The arena gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
• Wristbands for the dances on Friday and Saturday are $10 and can be purchased at the North Soda Stand.
• No weapons are allowed on the premise.
• Pets must be on a leash.
• VIP tickets are not sold separately and are only available to Buckle Level Sponsors.
• Souvenirs will be available for purchase at the Souvenir Silo directly inside the main ticket booth.

The Lawton Rangers Rodeo dances will feature live music from River Rose Band, Gage Wilkerson and The Young Guns.

The Lawton Rangers will host dances on Friday and Saturday after the regular events in the arena. Friday and Saturday night will feature live music from the River Rose Band. On Saturday, the band will be joined by special guests Gage Wilkerson and The Young Guns.

Wristbands for the dance are available for $10, and can be purchased at the North Soda Stand, located under the scoreboard.
