On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, killing 168 people, including 19 children, and injured a over 600 people. The trailer for "McVeigh" dropped on Thursday, Feb. 13, and the movie will focus on McVeigh's planning of what is known today as the Oklahoma City Bombing.

"McVeigh" is a psychological thriller that is set to hit theaters and digital platforms on March 21 of this year. The move description states that "McVeigh" is about how "Army veteran Timothy McVeigh hatches a deadly plan after the Waco siege" and depicts "the deadliest act of terrorism in U.S. history." The movie is directed my Mike Ott and stars Alfie Allen as McVeigh.

The film first premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival and currently has a 7/10 rating on IMDb and a 78 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. "McVeigh" received mostly positive reviews out of the Tribeca Film Festival. Deadline called "McVeigh" a "chilling account of the radicalization of the Oklahoma bomber."

'McVeigh' is not the first film about McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing.

In 2017, the documentary "Oklahoma City: A Cautionary Tale of Hate In America" was released and documented the beliefs and experiences of McVeigh leading up to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

The documentary was an Official Selection from the Sundance Film Festival in 2017, a winner of a 2017 Peabody Award for Documentary and nominated for the 2017 Primetime Emmy for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking.

This year will be the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing.

On April 19 this year will be the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing. The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum will host a 30th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony at the museum in downtown Oklahoma City. Following the ceremony, the museum will be open free of charge. The museum will also host education programming the week before the anniversary.

This year, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon will take place April 25-27. The marathon first began in 2001 and is a fundraiser for the Oklahoma National Memorial and museum.
