Keep Victoria Beautiful has just done something incredible. They have just introduced a new scholarship program that will benefit the next generation of environmental stewards.

There will be up to 5 scholarships available.

Up to five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors or college, university, or trade school students who have volunteered with Keep Victoria Beautiful!   Keep Victoria Beautiful sponsors will fund the scholarships, which may be used to pursue education in any field of study at a college, university, or trade school.  KVB Executive Director Meridith Byrd shared why this matters.

“An important part of Keep Victoria Beautiful’s mission is engaging our youth and encouraging the next generation to take pride in their community.”

Application period begins on December 1, 2026

Students must submit a video proposal for a community project supporting litter prevention, beautification/preservation, recycling and/or waste diversion. Students will be credited if their project is chosen by KVB.

Students must have participated in at least two KVB events.

Applicants must have participated in at least two KVB cleanups or events in the past 12 months. Upcoming events that meet this requirement include:
  • · Fall Sweep Roadway Litter Cleanup: Sept. 19
  • · King/Oliver Neighborhood Cleanup: Nov. 14
  • · Spring neighborhood cleanup: March 2027 (date and location to be determined)
