Update for the Gary Moses Community Center Renovations
The City of Victoria will host the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on the Gary Moses Community Center renovation project.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Gary Moses Community Center. If you are not able to attend, you can watch the livestream on TV15 (cable channels 15 and 115 and online at www.victoriatx.gov/tv15), on Facebook at City of Victoria, Texas – Government, and on YouTube at Victoria Texas Videos.
Phase one of renovations.
For phase one, the Community Center will remain open. Work will start on the new event arena, the new stall barn, and other updates to the rear of the property.
Phase two of renovations will start in March 2027.
After the second annual Growing Victoria Summit, the Community Center will close for further renovations. The existing structure will get upgrades, including the renovation of the Dome and the conversion of the existing arena into an exhibit hall.

It has been almost a month since Brother Gary Moses passed away on Sunday, July 19. He had a courageous nine-month battle with a rare disease. Since then, the community has continued to share the love and all of the great things he did for our community.
