Nothing worse than your flight having to get grounded due to weather. Looks like one guy ran into someone pretty cool at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport.

Seems like our local Wichita Falls Regional Airport only goes viral when flights get grounded here. The last time was when a pilot bought 40 pizzas for everybody that got stuck in Wichita Falls. Watch that video below.

Well it looks like a flight on the way to Cincinnati today had to make a landing due to severe weather. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are causing delays all over Texas today according to the FAA. However it's not so bad. One fan ran into a MLB player while being stuck at the Wichita Falls airport.

Jackson Payne here was rocking his Orioles hat on his flight that got grounded in Wichita Falls today. Turns out a former Baltimore Oriole was stuck in Wichita Falls as well. Orioles home run legend Chris Davis. For the Texas Rangers fans out there, Chris also spent three seasons in Arlington as well. However, Baltimore still loves Chris Davis.

Sadly, Chris retired from baseball in 2021, but he's still getting paid by the Orioles for quite sometime. Chris did not have the best final years in Baltimore. However that 2012-2016 run he had made watching Orioles games fun again for me. The Orioles sucked for me pretty much the entire start of the 2000's. Guys like Chris Davis, Adam Jones, and Manny Machado made me love baseball again.

Pretty cool that Chris Davis was right here in Wichita Falls. Even if he's only here because his flight got grounded.
