If you’re like me and looking to put the best of the best to the test, here’s where you can find the highest-rated chicken wings in Texas. The best news for those of us in North Texas is that you can make an easy day trip to give them a try.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a chicken wing I didn’t love. Sure, some are better than others, but it’s hard to mess wings up. Hell, even the frozen ones you get at the grocery store hit the spot, in my opinion.

Growing up in a small Texas town, we didn’t have a place that specialized in chicken wings, like Buffalo Wild Wings or Wing Stop. If you wanted wings, you got them from a regular old chicken place. So, my first experience with a place that specialized in wings was in the early 90s at a place called Lendy’s in Virginia Beach, when I was in the Navy (fun fact: I worked there for a short time).

I miss Lendy’s wings, but Virginia Beach is a long way from Wichita Falls. However, Bedford is only a little over two hours away from here. And if Mighty Chick Sando’s wings live up to the hype, I might just have to make the trip.

The team at BizInsure analyzed thousands of Yelp listings for restaurants in the Chicken Wing category and found Mighty Chicken Sando to be the highest rated wing place in the Lone Star State, with a near-perfect rating of 4.8.
