If you have not heard yet, Wichita Falls will be getting a Longhorn Steakhouse in 2027. Apparently it will be taking over the old Johnny Carino's location at 4330 Kell West Boulevard.

Longhorn Steakhouse Second Biggest Steak Chain in America

Longhorn will be new to us in Wichita Falls, but the chain currently operates 610 locations here in America. The only other steak chain bigger is Texas Roadhouse. Which operates 684 restaurants throughout the country. Currently Longhorn is the 33rd biggest chain in the country between IHOP and Zaxby's.

What is Longhorn Steakhouse Known for?

Probably goes without saying...steak. Their most popular option is the Outlaw Ribeye. Top flavor, tender texture, and a just-right size says the experts. For those of you who do not enjoy steak, apparently the salmon is the best non-steak item on the menu.

My Beef (No Pun Intended) With Longhorn Steakhouse

I have actually had several opportunities to try this place and refused to go because I used to work for another steak chain called Lonestar Steakhouse. When I was a server, nothing would ruin my night faster than when someone would hand over a Longhorn gift card thinking we were them. I had explain this was no good here. This happened at least twenty times in my server days. So because of that, I have never been to a Longhorn. Maybe it's time to end my strike in 2027 when they open in Wichita Falls?
