Wichita Falls Charity Softball Tournament Helping Raise Funds in Town

Play softball next week and help out a great cause right here in Wichita Falls.

Leadership Wichita Falls is putting on a charity softball tournament next Saturday on March 21st. They're calling it Pitch In For the Falls since the money raised from people signing up will be helping out local non-profits and youth programs. Darin Young stopped by the studio to discuss the upcoming tournament.

How Much Does a Team Cost for Pitch in the Falls?

$300 for a team of at least eight players and a max of twelve players. This is a co-ed tournament, so you must have at least three females on your team to compete. The event will start at 8AM on March 21st at the Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1820 Sheppard Access Road.

Home Run Derby Also a Part of the Tournament

For those like myself whose arms are not what they used to be. You can still show off your power with the home run derby that will be taking place. So if you embarrass yourself trying to catch a pop fly, don't worry you can still attempt to be athletic doing this.

Rules for Upcoming Tournament

• Games will consist of seven innings or fifty minutes of play. Whichever comes first.
• If a team is leading by more than ten runs after four innings, the game is over.
• You're only allowed a maximum of five runs in per inning.
• You're only allowed three home runs per game.
