This is one of the most terrifyingly beautiful videos you’ll ever see. It really encapsulates the beauty of the clear Texas sky at night with the contrast of a frightening supercell that is slowly approaching in the distance. 

I must say that one of my favorite things about living in Texas is sitting outside at night during the summer. For one thing, that’s when the scorching heat finally starts to let up. But also, it’s so beautiful – especially if you’re able to drive out to the sticks where there’s no light pollution.

The Wild Weather Texans Know All Too Well

However, one of my not-so-favorite things about the Lone Star State is the wild weather we get here. Admittedly, I find severe weather to be fascinating, but I would much rather watch from a safe distance. That’s why the video below caught my eye. I couldn’t look away from the crazy lightning in the storm.
