ICE Facility Shooting Suspects Transferred to Wichita Falls Jail
Some new federal inmates were just transferred to the Wichita County Jail and they were involved in a very big case earlier this year.
Before we get into this next story, I do want you to know. This is completely separate from what is going on in Dallas this morning. If you have not heard, an ICE facility in Dallas was targeted by a sniper this morning. Around 7AM, a transport of detainees were going into the facility. A sniper shot and killed two of them, another person was injured, and the sniper turned the gun on themselves. You can read more about that below.

Fourth of July 2025, ICE Facility Attack in Alvarado, Texas
The inmates that were just transferred to the Wichita County Jail were involved with the incident on the Fourth of July in Alvarado, Texas. Looks like fifteen people in total were involved in this incident at the Prairieland Detention Center. They began vandalizing vehicles in the parking lot of the facility and when officers arrived to respond, they were shot at. One officer was hit, but has since recovered from his injuries. The shooter in question was on the F.B.I.'s Most Wanted List and was arrested just over a week after the incident.
Six of the women who were apart of the incident on that day were formally charged yesterday and transferred to the Wichita County Jail. Supporters of these women claim they were there on a peaceful protest and unaware that a shooting was going to take place. However, according to reports, some of their vehicles had AR-style rifles, radios, body armor, and a signal jammer. It's now up to their lawyers to defend them on what they were actually there to do that day.
