Wichita Falls Thieves Steal from Vendors at Video Game Convention

Over the weekend, it was Retro South at the Wichita Falls MPEC and unfortunately a vendor shared footage of a pair of individuals stealing from his booth.

Retro South bills itself as a video gaming and pop culture event celebrating the 80's, 90's, and 00's. The two day convention had a little bit of everything. Cosplay, video game tournaments, arcade area, table top games, and like most conventions, a vendor area. Several vendors came into Wichita Falls to sell video games, art, collectibles, and cards. Looks like one card vendor shared footage of some thieves that got away with some cards.

A vendor known as Sicko Mode World out of Lawton, attended Retro South on Day 1 selling Pokemon cards. Looks like these two got away with several cards, including a Dark Holo Riachu card worth a couple hundred bucks.

Here's a more zoomed in angle of the two who stole over the weekend. The vendor has filed a report with the Wichita Falls Police Department and if you happen to recognize either of these individuals, any tips would be appreciated.

Pokemon Vendor Declined Day Two of Wichita Falls Convention

After the situation on Saturday, Sicko Mode World decided to not attend the convention on Sunday. They released a statement which you can read above. Retro South did comment on the post, "We are so sorry for what happened and are incredibly grateful for you joining us this year - you brought something unique to our event and we appreciated it very much."

I hope to see Retro South continue on for many more years, but hopefully those who want to steal from vendors decide to skip next year's event.
