(Canton, Texas) Soon parents from all across East Texas will be packing up the kids in the minivan or truck and heading off to Canton for some family fun at a seasonal amusement park.

YesterLand Farm has become a family tradition over the last decade or so. My wife and I used to visit this unique amusement park years ago when my daughter was much younger. We would pack up the truck and head out to Canton for a day of fun.

The Origins of YesterLand Farm

This amusement park has blossomed over the years. Starting in 2000 as Canton Christmas Tree Farm, the farm sold Christmas trees and offered complimentary hay rides and a barrel train. As the farm expanded, the owners opened earlier to provide pumpkins in the fall. At the time, a corn maze and a few other small attractions were added.

In 2011, the park changed its name to YesterLand Farm. The farm still sells pumpkins and Christmas trees and is a unique place to go. Owners are calling this an agri-entertainment destination. It's expanded and now offers around 40 different activities and carnival-style rides for the entire family to create memories.

What Makes YesterLand Farm Unique

YesterLand Farm has new owners who plan on continuing to carry on the vision of the previous owners.

CBS19 reports the new owners, Bryan and Jill Lank, have assumed management of the park, and a park spokesperson says,

"Proud ranchers and farmers, the Lanks bring with them a deep commitment to faith, family, and hard work."

The new owners also own a similar style business near Houston named Dewberry Farm.
