The Discount Retailer Left East Texas Last Year And Now They Closing Down All Of Their Locations.

In a surprising move, discount retail chain "Dirt Cheap" has announced it will be closing all of its locations.

Channel Control Merchants, the parent company of Dirt Cheap and Treasure Hunt, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Thursday. They plan to close all of its stores to clear up debt.

The Mississippi-based company, known for offering steep discounts on a wide range of merchandise including clothing, home goods, and furniture has more than 60 locations across Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Georgia and Tennessee.

Dirt Cheap has been a go-to destination for customers seeking heavily discounted, overstock, and closeout items from major retailers.
