We are just one week away from the highly anticipated total solar eclipse that will be happening on Monday, April 8. And right now the forecast doesn't look great for the thousands, if not millions, of people who have planned to be anywhere from northwest Texas through south Texas.

The good news? We are still a week away and forecast can always change.

What Does The Texas Forecast Say About Weather During The Total Solar Eclipse?

Not all of Texas will be in the path of totality for the upcoming eclipse, unfortunately right now the forecast calls for rain and cloudy conditions on the day of the eclipse in the areas of totality. That according to click2houston which reports that a low pressure from north of Japan will be moving towards the United States and possibly stopping west of Texas. If that happens, clouds and rain could move into Texas.

The Forecast for Texas Can Still Change

Of course all of this depends on timing and if the forecast for next week is correct. How many times have you planned an event 7 days into the future when the weather said one thing 7 days out, but the forecast changed 3 days out?

Bottom line, prepare for anything including a lot of traffic on Monday, April 8. No one is saying to cancel plans or go from one city to another. Just keep an eye on things and let's see how the forecast really turns out.
