El Paso’s Silent Reading Club Lets You Hang Out And Shut The Eff Up
Are you a social person but still love it when the people around you just shut up for a bit? Do you love to read with other people but wish they would all read in their heads? Well then El Paso's Silent Book Club might be the place for you!
Here is how EP Silent Book Club describe themselves:
"Silent Book Club is happy hour for introverts. Bring a book, bring a friend, and order a drink. Then settle in for an hour or two of quiet reading with fellow book lovers. There's no assigned reading or discussion guides—that's the "silent" part of our book club—but we do like to share book recommendations and meet like-minded readers."
I love the people in El Paso who say there is nothing to do here because things like EP Silent Book Club have been happening multiple times a month for quite a while. Maybe you aren't into this particular kind of group hang, but clearly El Paso is a hub for people living life with the free will that makes them do whatever they want and people show up for it!!
El Paso has everything from medieval combat groups who meet up every week to a Public Library System that offers one of the most diverse lineups of events at the most consistent rate I have ever seen.
The El Paso Silent Book Club changes locations every time but is always the same. A group space for people to be social while shutting the f*** up. You can find their events and RSVP at the EP Silent Book Club Meetup page or find them on socials!
