Man Addicted to Donating Money After Surviving Stroke
Of all the side effects of a stroke, generosity may be the most surprising.
A 49-year-old business executive in Brazil has given away almost all of his money after he suffered a stroke.
The man reportedly has donated so much money that it has caused turmoil among his family and left them teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. His newfound decision to literally spread the wealth seems to know no bounds, with him going so far as to randomly buy food and drinks for children he passes on the streets.
While the man claims he has "seen death close up [and] wanted to enjoy life, which is too short,” doctors say there is a medical reason for his behavior. They believe the stroke affected his cerebral cortex, which plays a key role in thinking and ability to make decisions.
