Road Conditions Improved But Caution Still Advised
Some area roads, especially in rural areas and on lesser-traveled city streets remain icy and dangerous. City, county and state crews spent much of yesterday clearing and treating major arteries and intersections. Temps today should warm to the mid-40's, allowing for even more clearing. Forecasters are now, however, calling for a chance of freezing rain and sleet for Friday morning, which will create additional travel issues.
Here's the latest from the City of Wichita Falls:
-City Offices will open one hour late today at 9:00 am to allow time for employees to arrive safely at work.
-City Bus service will begin at noon today.
-Citizens requiring flight information for American Eagle flights in and out of Municipal Airport should call 1-800-433-7300.
