UPDATE: 9/15/2016 3:00pm

Because of this afternoon's rainy weather, the park is going to be too wet for the event. Instead, the concert is going to be moved right across the street. It will now be happening inside of the American National Bank Building (Big Blue). This was announced on the Sundown in Downtown Facebook page around 2:30 today.

In case you didn't already know, September 15th is going to be a very important day for many different nonprofit groups throughout the Texoma region. That is the date for 'Texoma Gives.' During that day, for 16 hours, donors throughout the region will be able to make donations and raise much needed funds for local needs.

Downtown Wichita Falls Development announced today that they are getting in on the action. They invite you to join them for 'Sundown in Downtown.' The event will be held at Park Central at 8th and Scott St and will include live music, prizes and more.

The event will be completely free to the public, but people are strongly encouraged to come make their donations for 'Texoma Gives' at the event. Everything will get started at 5pm and volunteers will be on hand helping people make donations.

Thus far, musical entertainment will include Hazel, Michael Kately, and Blue Light Special. They say there will be more entertainers and more information announced in the coming weeks, too.

On the day of the show, all donations made through http://bit.ly/DWFDTexomaGives are eligible for “Prize Money” that will be awarded throughout the day.

We'll share more information as it becomes available, but for now make plans to help raise funds and support Downtown Wichita Falls Development at 'Sundown in Downtown' on September 15th.
