Die-Hard Fan Sells Wedding Rings for Kansas City Chiefs’ Tickets
Love for your favorite team can last a longer than love for another person.
Thanks to the wonder that is Craigslist, a woman in Kansas City has sold her wedding rings in exchange for tickets to a pair of Chiefs’ games.
The woman, whose name has not been revealed, gave up a “nice diamond ring and wedding band set that was appraised at $3100.”
Now, before you think romance is dead, consider this: the rings come from a marriage this has ended.
The woman received four tickets to the Chiefs’ November 24 game against the Chargers, as well as four tickets to the highly-anticipated matchup against the Broncos.
Meanwhile, the man who bought the rings plans to propose to his girlfriend. If the Chiefs can win both games, consider this a hugely successful transaction.
Of course, we can only imagine what the woman will be on the auction block if the Chiefs have a home playoff game.
