The City of Wichita Falls is going into the television business. “That City Show” debuts tonight (10/8) at 6:30 pm on WFTV Channel 11 on Time Warner Cable. Don’t have cable? Not to worry, the show can also be viewed at any time online via YouTube, Facebook or the City of Wichita Falls homepage.

The show mixes information about city services, business and action with information about community events, activities and general issues important to residents and visitors. The show is presented using a beautiful new studio, the first of its kind in Wichita Falls.

“The show and studio are exactly what residents and visitors in Wichita Falls deserve,” said Public Information Officer, Barry Levy. “When people tune in whether through Time Warner Cable or the internet they will immediately see this terrific, new, modern, stylish studio, which we are confident, will make them curious and they’ll stick around to watch the show,” said Levy.

Residents and visitors will also be able to participate in the show. The Public Information Office will accept phone or email questions and comments by calling 940-761-7401, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or by email at barry.levy@wichitafallstx.gov.

“That City Show is going to be very flexible and entertaining,” said Levy. “We can discuss just about anything from City issues such as our Long-Term Potable Reuse Project to local live theater productions, severe weather preparations, upcoming concerts and events, education issues and more. You name the topics and we will bring in the City officials or community participants to discuss them,” said Levy.

No City tax dollars were used for the construction of the new studio. Funding came from a franchise fee paid for by Time Warner Cable. That City Show will be rebroadcast on WFTV Channel 11 following the premier segments every day at 8:00 am, 6:30 pm and midnight.
