Wichita Falls Police have formally charged a man in a February homicide.  Forty year-old Jerry Joe Garza is charged in connection with the death of 32 year-old Monica Partida on February 9th.  Family members called police to a home on Britain Street.  The family found a broken window and could not get Partida to answer the door. Once officers entered the home, they found Partida had been stabbed.

Garza’s bond on the murder charge has been set at 2.5-million dollars.  Garza is a former boyfriend of the victim.  Garza has been held in the Wichita County Jail since late February on charges of aggravated assault.  He is a suspect in an attack at a bar that occurred last fall.
