Hit-and-Run Accident Leads to Stolen Vehicle Investigation, Arrest

A hit and run incident yesterday has left one man hospitalized, one in jail and resulted in an investigation into a vehicle theft.

Just after 3 pm yesterday, according to a Wichita Falls Police Department press release, a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Taurus were both traveling north on Fairway when the two vehicles collided. The operator of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and suffered a life-threatening head injury. He is undergoing treatment at United Regional Hospital.

26-year old Connard Lee Riddles III was arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid, a third degree felony.  Riddles fled the scene after the accident but was arrested a short time later. During the investigation, it was discovered that the motorcycle had been reported stolen. The name of the motorcycle rider has not been released.
