Monday night's storms brought much needed rain to Texoma, but lightning strikes and high winds have left thousands without power.  Oncor Electric Delivery has restored most of the power outages. The highest concentration of outages affected customers between US 277 (Seymour Highway) and Southwest Parkway/FM 369.  Many of the outages had been repaired by noon today, but a handful remain.  Damage, downed trees across wires and general outages can be reported to ONCOR at 1-888-313-4747.

Here in Wichita Falls, sections of Elizabeth and Baylor Streets were closed due to downed trees across the roadway.  City crews and residents have been working through the day to clear debris.  One homeowner we spoke with said she and her husband actually took the day off to clear a fallen tree that had died during last summers drought.  She told News Talk 1290 that by the time they'd finished, they had filled two pick-up truck beds and a 16 foot trailer.  "It missed our house by about 6 feet-a close call", she said.  Similar damage reports have come in from all across Texoma.
