Officials tell News Talk that Bobby Melton was towing a pickup truck back to Wichita Falls on northbound 287 near Jolly when his wrecker was rear-ended by a semi.

The semi, wrecker and the pickup burst into flames.  The pickup was pushed into the headache rack of the wrecker.  The owner of the pickup was riding with Melton.  Melton, the unidentified driver of the pickup and the unidentified driver of the semi were all transported to United Regional with minor injuries.  No other injuries have been reported.

A collision occurred on US 287 northbound just east of the Wilson Overpass at around 7:30am this morning.  The wreck has traffic at a standstill.  At least three explosions have been reported.  Emergency crews are on the scene.  As of 8:00am there is still no word on injuries.  Motorists are advised to avoid this area both north and southbound until the wreckage is cleared.
