Comedian Ron White may have said it best: you can't fix stupid.  And comedian Jimmy Kimmel puts the stupidity of people on display with his 'Confusing Question of the Day'.

It's a tried and proven tool in the late-night comedy bag of ideas.  The 'man on the street' style of interviewing, asking a question about a legitimate issue, but yet completely distorting the facts or flat out lying about what the 'it' is, then watching the obviously uninformed as they offer their sincere response has always been good for a laugh.
