
Near Record High Temps and Severe Weather Return to Oklahoma
Hang those winter jackets back up because Oklahoma is warming up again. Near record high temperatures are expected this weekend across the state, plus the return of severe weather.
According to the National Weather Service in Norman, a strong upper ridging will come through much of the United States, including Oklahoma, this weekend bringing in near record high temperatures at the end of the week and into the weekend.
Portions of Oklahoma could see daytime high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s on Friday and Saturday.

Oklahoma will begin its stormy weather pattern shift Sunday.
A low pressure system will begin moving into Oklahoma on Sunday, which will begin Oklahoma's shift towards a two to three week stormy weather pattern.
If the right amount of moisture comes in Sunday, portions of Oklahoma could see severe weather Sunday evening.
Rain chances expected to continue in Oklahoma through next week.
Rain is needed across Oklahoma at the moment. The drought has sparked back up again after it was recently quenched for the first time in six years. And it looks like a wetter pattern is on the horizon for Oklahoma.
