Plans Have Been Filed to Bring Freebirds to Victoria.
Another eatery is coming to Victoria. Freebirds World Burrito has filed plans with the state to renovate the old Taco Bueno location at 8507 North Navarro. According to a Facebook post, the renovations are scheduled to start in November of this year, with a tentative completion date by Spring 2027!
The existing 2,382-square-foot project will include a standard commercial restaurant build-out, which will include configuring the front-of-house assembly-line ordering counters, setting up the dining room, and installing a commercial kitchen equipped for their daily scratch-made food prep.
Is Dave's Hot Chicken still coming to Victoria?
It's awesome that another big brand is showing interest in Victoria, Texas. A definite sign that we are growing at a fast rate. The land right next to it still sits vacant. A year ago, we also learned that Dave's Hot Chicken was coming to Victoria. Is that still happening? No site plans or permits have been filed yet. We remain hopeful.
Jersey Mike’s renovations to begin soon in front of Victoria Mall.
Renovations for the future Jersey Mike's location in front of the mall are scheduled to start in September, with a target completion date of December 31, 2026.
Cheddars Restaurant construction is already underway on Zac Lentz Parkway (463) and seems to be running on schedule.
It appears more big-name restaurants are showing interest in Victoria. What is the next big-name restaurant that should come to Victoria?
