Well Valentine's Day is Saturday and if you have no idea what to buy. Apparently these are the safe options for your Texas sweetheart.

As someone who has never been married. I do not know the first thing about buying an engagement ring. Hopefully when that day comes, I will know what my significant other would want on her finger. If you're thinking about proposing this week, our friends at Elemental have done the research on what ring types people are searching in every state.

Once again, I know nothing about engagement rings. Apparently Texas' most popular option is a vintage ring. "A vintage style engagement ring is a newly made ring designed with historical motifs (such as milgrain, filigree, and hand-engraving) and period-correct proportions." I literally didn't know several words in that sentence, it came from this jewelry website.

Here's how little I know, I would have sworn that was called a teardrop diamond, but according to Elemental it's pear shaped. The reason this is a popular option, the tapered point, creates a feminine elongating effect that makes fingers appear slimmer. Who knew? Probably ladies, definitely not me.

According to Legacy Box, around 220,000 people are proposed to on Valentine's Day. Around 6-9% of all engagements are planned for this weekend. If you're planning something out this weekend. Best of luck to you. I hope they say, yes! If you're already engaged, this is a big day for wedding planning. If you're already married, hopefully you do something nice for your partner. If you're single like me, I'll see you at the bar.
