It’s Opening Day for Our New Wichita Falls Baseball Team!
A new league is calling Wichita Falls home in 2026 and tonight is their first ever game.
When it comes to sports teams in Wichita Falls, the most successful was probably the Wichita Falls Spudders. From the 1920's to the 1950's, Wichita Falls had their own baseball team. If you have ever been to Spudder Park in town, that is where the team used to play baseball. Looks like the Spudders are making a comeback in a brand new league.
Wichita Falls Spudders Opening Day June 1, 2026
The Spudders back in the day were part of several different leagues, but this new Spudders team is a part of the Cowboy Collegiate League. The league started in 2024, but is having it's first ever season this summer. They currently have nine teams in the league. They're broken into two different sections, Northern and Southern.
Cowboy Collegiate League Teams for 2026
- Weatherford Cutters (Northern)
- Tyler Knockouts (Northern)
- Wichita Falls Spudders (Northern)
- Waco Woolly Wranglers (Northern)
- Baytown Bulkheads (Southern)
- Pearland Cobblers (Southern)
- Galveston Sand Crabs (Southern)
- Texas City Tall Boys (Southern)
- Texas X's [Conroe] (Southern)
Where Do the Spudders Play and How Much Do Tickets Cost?
The Spudders will play their home games at Hoskins Field at 4709 Barnett Road. According to the Spudders website, tickets are very reasonable. General admission for adults is $10, while tickets for children (aged 5-12) are $5. They do have a 73 cents fee per ticket on their website and I am assuming anyone under the age of five gets in for free.

Looks like the Spudders have theme nights for every home game this season. Including Bark at the Park, Superhero Night, and College Night. Get more info on their website. If you want live sports in Wichita Falls, get out and support the Spudders.
