Deer Fest Time Is Almost Here!

Back in 2007, Dawn Thompson, owner of Spa Bella in Wichita Falls, had the idea to fill some boxes with hygiene items for needed kids in our area.  The 'Adopt-A-Box' program was an off-shoot of 'Operation Spa Kids', another program founded by Thompson and her staff at Spa Bella.  That program offers free haircuts to needy school children.  'Adopt-A-Box' has grown-providing hygiene items, some clothing and even school supplies for many needy kids.

In 2009, Thompson and a few friends put together 'Deer Fest' as a fundraiser benefiting the 'Adopt-A-Box' program.  The fifth annual 'Deer Fest' is coming up in August.  Eric Reed stopped by the 'Rise and Shine Show' to talk about this years event and how you can help!  Click on the player below to listen
