Light Scatter

Supercells are already a marvel on their own, known for their severe weather, rotating updrafts, and potential to spawn tornadoes. But what makes this particular supercell so special is the vivid blue-green coloring that illuminated the sky. The unusual tint is a result of light scattering through large hail within the storm, creating a mesmerizing visual effect that seems almost otherworldly.

Quite the Spectacle

As the storm approached Brownwood, residents and storm chasers alike were treated to a spectacle that they had never witnessed before. The swirling clouds, tinged with vibrant colors, provided a stark contrast to the typically clear Texas skies. Many who witnessed the event described it as both beautiful and ominous.
