Road Rage Incident Leads to Gun Being Drawn in Wichita Falls

Looks like someone was cutoff in Wichita Falls and they decided to make sure this person knew they were pissed.

Wichita Falls may not have traffic, but folks sure do not know how to drive in our city. We have been ranked as having some of the worst drivers in Texas. Turns out a driver cut someone off on Kemp and Kell. This happens to me like once a week, but it looks like the person that was cutoff has a bit of a road rage problem.

Kenyon Gates Alleged Road Rage Incident in Wichita Falls

A female driver admitted to Wichita Falls police she accidentally cutoff a Black Buick Encore. After that happened, the vehicle then began following the female driver. Attempting to get beside her while driving, yelling insults, and even throwing objects at her car. It all escalated when the vehicles arrived at Kemp and Call Field Road.

Pistol Pulled at Wichita Falls Intersection

Once the two vehicles were stopped on Kemp and Call Field Road. The driver of the Black Buick Encore stepped out of the vehicle with a pistol and pointed it at the female driver. Another witness corroborated the female victim's story as well. The driver was identified as Kenyon Gates. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Wichita County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

According to the Wichita County Jail database, this is the 21st charge on Mr. Gates since 2004.
