Boat Rescues Happening in Texas
Sadly, I wish I could give credit to these guys that went and broke this dog out of this flooded home in Texas. This poor dog was stuck with nowhere to go as they remained locked inside the house. This gentleman broke the window to the home and was able to lure the dog to his boat to get him out of nowhere. Poor pup was paddling for his life in that house.
More Dog Rescues Happening in Texas
In trying to find out where that first dog was from, I happened to stumble upon Marine Enforcement Unit Officer H. Scott with the Houston Police Department. He was able to rescue a man trapped in a flooded trailer park with his two dogs. He was able to rescue another dog as well in the body cam footage above.
One Reported Death in the Texas Flood So Far
Hundreds have been rescued, but a four-year-old in Burleson, Texas was sadly swept away in a flood this week. The boy's family vehicle got trapped in the flood and when they tried to escape, the boy was swept away in the rushing water. Rescuers found Aaron and Chelsey Warren later that morning and transported them to the hospital, according to the Johnson County Office of Emergency Management. The body of Lucas Warren, who would've turned 5 this month, was found a few hours later.
