Amarillo Winter Farmers Market Photos: Opening Day Crowds

The Amarillo Winter Farmers Market opened on Saturday, October 3, to a large crowd. Many of the vendors sold out of their products. The market will be open through April 10, 2027.

What Was Opening Day Like?

Walking through the venue, both outside and inside, you could see the crowd having a good time shopping at the different vendors. You could hear a lot of "excuse me's" as people walked through, and the aisles were full of happy shoppers spending their Saturday morning finding amazing products.

What Can You Buy at the Amarillo Winter Farmers Market?

The Amarillo Winter Farmers Market's opening day featured outdoor and indoor vendors. The place was full of vendors, with several selling baked goods like sourdough bread, plus German cuisine, sweets, honey, salsa, pickles, jams, and much more. The beverages flowed, with many vendors selling coffee, lemonade, and agua frescas. The produce was beautiful; several vendors had it, including Route 66 Produce, which actually grows its produce right inside the venue.

How Is Route 66 Produce Grown Hydroponically?

One of the best parts of the Amarillo Winter Farmers Market is that you can see how Route 66 Produce grows its crops hydroponically. You can walk through one of the rooms and see tubes full of lettuce and other leafy greens, along with vines of peas, cucumbers, and other vegetables.
