PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Zack Greinke (GREHN'-kee) of the Dodgers is trying to improve on his major-league leading earned run average of 1.41 this afternoon against the Phillies in Philadelphia. The Dodgers' ace has won five of his last six starts and got a no decision during the game in which the Mets ended his shutout streak at 45 2/3 innings.

TORONTO (AP) — The Blue Jays enter tonight's game against the Twins in Toronto with a four-game winning streak. Mark Buehrle (BUR'-lee), the winner of 11 games this season, gets the ball against the Twins, who have lost four in a row.

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Jordan Spieth (speeth) returns to action this week with an appearance in the World Golf Championship stop in Akron, Ohio. The winner of the Masters and U.S. Open is appearing in his first tournament since the British Open and has an eye on the final major of the year, the PGA Championship, which takes place next week.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — This week's PGA Tour event features the modified Stableford scoring system. The tournament is being played in Reno, Nevada, with Geoff Ogilvy back to defend his title.

UNDATED (AP) — Bidding groups from two cities, Las Vegas and Quebec City, have advanced to the second of three phases in their attempts to land an NHL expansion franchise. The league isn't expected to add teams for at least two more seasons. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has proposed an expansion fee of $500 million.
