The Midwestern State University men's basketball team now knows their next opponent in the Lone Star Conference Championship in Allen, Texas. They will face the Angelo State Rams on Friday at 2:30pm at the Allen Event Center.

Angelo punched their ticket to round 2 by beating Cameron University (Lawton, OK) 64-59 on Thursday afternoon. The Rams make it a clean sweep of the Aggies on the year, going 3-0 against Cameron for the season.

The Mustangs will put their 10-game winning streak on the line against a Rams team that defeated MSU in San Angelo back on January 22. That loss (83-68) for the Mustangs was the last time that they were defeated.

The matchup features two All-LSC first team players. MSU's senior guard Monzaigo Williams averages 16.1 points per game while giving out 4.5 assists. Angelo's senior forward Kenny Williams led the conference in scoring at 17.1ppg. Williams scored 21 in the opening round win over Cameron.
