FBI Warning About ‘Sticky Note Bandit’ Attacking Texas Banks
I remember the Sticky Bandits from 'Home Alone', but this is not that. Three banks in total have been hit by this person.
FBI Currently Investigating Bank Robberies in Texas
When the FBI is getting involved, you know things have gone up to another level. Since July 5th, three attempted bank robberies have happened in the Houston area. The suspect has the same thing they do at every stop. They hand a note to the bank teller with a threatening message demanding cash. The suspect appears to be a woman, but investigators believe it is a man dressed as a woman.
First Attempt, July 5th Hancock Whitney Bank
Suspect hands the note to the teller. Teller gives the 'Sticky Note Bandit' an undisclosed amount of money.
Second Attempt July 11th Wells Fargo Bank
Suspect hands note to the teller. Teller goes to the back 'to get the money'. Teller locks themselves in the back room. After a few minutes of waiting, 'Sticky Note Bandit' flees the scene with no money
Third Attempt July 13th Different Wells Fargo Bank
Suspect hands note to the teller. Teller hands over an undisclosed amount of money.
Police Now Warning to be on the Lookout for 'Sticky Note Bandit'
This is now three attempts in almost two weeks and police are worried the bandit could strike again. The 'Sticky Note Bandit' wore similar outfits to all of the attempted robberies. A black wig, black sunglasses, a blue medical mask, a green women's style sweater, ballet flats, and carried a black purse.
