Wichita Falls Couple Arrested in Murder-For-Hire Plot

A Wichita Falls man and his wife are behind bars tonight after being arrested in a murder-for-hire plot.  Officers from the Organized Crime Unit, Crimes Against Persons Unit and the Gang Task Force arrested 58 year-old Jeffrey Peyton and his wife, 39 year-old Christina Peyton.

SWAT Officers raided a residence in the 200 block of Carolina Street on Thursday afternoon.  Both suspects are charged with Solicitation to Commit Capital Murder.  Police say the couple paid an undercover officer $500 in cash to murder the boyfriend of their daughter in a dispute over money.  The intended victim was unharmed.  The case remains under investigation.
