El Paso Man Driving Without License or Insurance
The driver of the vehicle, Lino Lucero, only had a Texas Identification Card. Authorities asked to search the vehicle and Lucero gave permission. Apparently in the back of this truck, he was hauling three diesel tanks. Deputies opened the tanks and discovered packages of a crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Lino Lucero Charges
Lucero was officially arrested and charged. He's currently being held on a $200,000 bond in the Wichita County Jail. According to the Wichita County Sheriff's Office, the methamphetamine came in at 1,560 pounds. This has increased the charges for Lucero since the amount was so massive. He has been charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams.
Texas Penalty for Lucero's Charges
If found guilty, Lucero will be charged a first degree felony. Which comes with a penalty of 10-99 years in prison and a potential fine of up to $100,000. We will wait and see what happens to him at a later date. If you want to get some criminals off the streets in Wichita Falls, check out the latest Texoma's Most Wanted Fugitives below.
