New North Texas Venue Allows Anyone To Be A Game Show Contestant
I love watching game shows on TV. In fact, I’d rather watch an episode of Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, than any sports game or sitcom. That’s why I’m so excited about this new entertainment venue opening up in North Texas, where you can actually be a contestant in a game show.
Game Show Battle Rooms was started back in 2017, by a couple of college buddies, who wanted to everyone to have a chance to participate in mock versions of popular game shows. They opened up their first location in Minneapolis, and since then have expanded to other markets across the country such as Kansas City, and Milwaukee. Now, they are bringing their concept to North Texas, and opening up a location in Farmers Branch, right down the street from the Galleria mall in North Dallas.
The new facility will have several different mini-arenas, which will contain sets that closely resemble what’s actually shown on TV. Upon opening, guests will be able to compete on mock versions of Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, Million Dollar Trivia, Name That Price, or Minute Games. Each game lasts anywhere between an hour and 90 minutes, and has a lively and enthusiastic game show host.
Even though the games won’t be televised, each contestant will feel like they are on a real live game show. You’ll even get a shiny new name tag to wear while you compete. You won’t win a free car, or a trip to the Bahamas’, but winners will have their picture taken, and even earn a spot on their Wall of Fame.
