Wichita Falls has seen a true boom in the restaurant sector over the past few years.  And it appears that tide will continue, as rumors swirl daily about new companies inquiring about the Wichita Falls market.

At least one of those rumors appears to be a step closer to reality.  Fox Hill Restaurant and Garden is slated to open in a home just off 5th Street on Kemp Blvd.  The Wichita Falls City Council voted today to go forward with a re-zoning ordinance as recommended by city staff.

The ordinance will also allow for portions of blocks D, H, I, & J to allow for additional restaurants and farming space. The eight acres surrounding the home will be used as a venue for outdoor dining events. That's also where they will keep and serve their own produce, and small animals. They intend on having chickens, peacocks, guinea hens, rabbits, and ducks.

According to the Wichita County Tax Office, the property is owned by Hugh and Janel Smith.  The proposed site has become known locally as ‘Bluebonnet Hill’.
