Bowie Police Seize 31 Pounds of Marijuana, Thousands in Cash and a Rifle on Hwy 287
Nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of marijuana and THC oil along with cash and a weapon were seized inside Bowie city limits Thursday, Oct. 26.
Officers with the Bowie Police Department were conducting "narcotics enforcement activities" on US Hwy 287 when Officer Cody Stone and Officer Travis Fuller stopped a vehicle driven by a male subject just before noon.
With the help of Clay County Constable Kirk Horton and his K-9 partner, Bowie PD says officers located and seized 31 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $80,000, 1,800 grams of THC with an estimated street value of $126,000, an AR-15 rifle, and approximately $8,700 in cash.
The operation was under the command of Sergeant Bob Blackburn.
