Ed Schultz Suspended From MSNBC After Insulting Laura Ingraham
According to the Washington Post, MSNBC has suspended radio talk show host Ed Schultz after he referred to rival conservative host Laura Ingraham this week as a "right-wing slut."
The incident occurred Tuesday on his radio show, and was prompted in response to comments Ingraham made about President Barack Obama visiting Ireland while the Midwest was getting hit by devastating tornadoes.
Schultz later apologized Wednesday on his hour-long TV program, 'The Ed Show,' admitting that he used "vile and inappropriate language."
"It was wrong, uncalled for, and I recognize the severity of what I said. I apologize to you, Laura, and ask for your forgiveness," he said.
Schultz is suspended until June 6.
