One Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident Just Outside Wichita Falls

The Texas DPS is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on River Road near Lower Charlie Road just outside of Wichita Falls Wednesday evening.

According to reports, the accident happened around 5:00 p.m. when 57-year-old James Davis lost control of his motorcycle after he hit some loose gravel and overcorrected.

According to Wichita County Deputies, Davis slid off the road and into a ditch. After being given CPR by people at the scene, Davis was reportedly taken to United Regional where he died.

Davis worked as a jailer at the James V. Allred Unit, according to Wichita County Sheriff David Duke.
