Motorcycle, Truck Collision Sends One To Hospital

A motorcyclist was struck by a truck on I-44 Sunday evening.  According to law enforcement, the truck may have run a stop sign on the I-44 access road and Bacon Switch near Howmet at around 7 pm.  The motorcycle slid under a truck.  The rider was transported to United Regional.  No others were reported injured.  The identity of the victim has not yet been released and the accident remains under investigation.  His condition was not available as of press time Sunday.
