Accident on I-44 Sends Three to Hospital
The investigation continues this morning into an accident on I-44 that ultimately sent a motorcyclist, the driver of a car and a Burkburnett Police officer to United Regional Hospital.
At around 8:30 pm Wednesday, a male motorcyclist was traveling in the west bound lane of I-44 near PPG when he was struck from behind by a female driver in an SUV. The SUV driver over-corrected and lost control, causing the SUV to roll. Both were taken to United Regional. Both victims were reportedly in stable condition.
A Burkburnett Police officer who was on the scene directing traffic was struck by another car a short time later. He was rushed to United Regional and as of Thursday morning was listed in stable condition. The names of the victims have not been released.
