The folks at used Google Trends to determine the most popular Christmas toy in each of the 50 states this year and Texans are all about gaming in 2019.

The Nintendo Switch rules the Lone Star State. It was Number 2 on the list overall and tops in California, Nevada, Utah and Washington D.C., also. In other words, we like to game on the go here in the Wild West.

The most popular Christmas toy in 2019 is the Nerf gun (I have to admit to being just a tad bit jealous that these weren’t around when I was a kid). It was the most popular toy in 11 states.

Number 3 overall was a tie between American Girl Dolls, which dominate New England, and Play-Doh, the favorite in the Deep South. I guess some toys never get old.

Several states were all about the Toy Story 4 Buzz Lightyear action figure, while the classic Barbie Playset also received honorable mention for being most popular in three states.
