Burkburnett Teen Threatens to Shoot Up Education Center
He has been officially charged with making a terroristic threat.
17-year-old Nicholas Maxwell has gotten himself into some hot water after some comments he wrote about the Wichita County Alternative Education Center. He allegedly said he was planning to shoot students and teachers there. An officer had brought Maxwell in for an interview and he told them he had access to a shotgun and another firearm.
The officer believed Maxwell was capable of carrying out such a threat. Maxwell also has some assault charges coming his way. Later in the week while at The Juvenile Detention Center. Officers said they saw Maxwell concealing an eating utensil in one hand and when they asked him to give it to them, he spit on one officer and bit another on his finger.
KFDX reports he has been charged with a terroristic threat and also charged with two counts of assault of an officer.
