Fire Affecting Traffic on U.S. 287 North near Vernon

The northbound lanes of US 287 near FM 432 west of Vernon are closed.  Smoke is causing low visibility along the roadway. Traffic is being detoured off onto the service road at the picnic area at FM 432 and then back on to US 287.  Firefighters are on the scene.  At last report, no injuries or structure damage was reported.
