Wichita Falls Police have made two arrests in connection with the shooting that took place Wednesday morning near Rider High School.   35 year-old Deamber Koerth and 23 year-old Marcus Wilson, both of Wichita Falls, were arrested in connection to a shooting that took place earlier today in the 4800 block of Johnson.

Koerth was arrested at approximately 11:48 am in the 2700 block of Palmetto.  She was charged with Abandoning/Endangering a Child, Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence, and Evading Arrest in a Vehicle.  Wilson was arrested at approximately 2:33 pm in the 2800 block of Parkview.  He was charged with Evading in a Vehicle and two unrelated warrants.

Police received a call about gunshots fired in the 4800 blk of Johnson Rd at approximately 8:38 am. Two vehicles were involved, both of which had left the scene before officers arrived.  Multiple shell casings were recovered.  Officers recovered one handgun as well.  No injuries were reported.

One of the vehicles, occupied by a male and two females, drove to the police department. While searching for the second vehicle, patrol officers attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description but that vehicle fled and started throwing items out of the windows. The vehicle was occupied by two males and a female. The vehicle came to a stop in the 2700 blk of Palmetto and the two males fled on foot.

The female, later identified as Koerth, was detained.  Officers began searching the area for the males. Wilson was located in the 2800 block of Parkview.  The second male suspect has not yet been located.  He is described as a Hispanic male with a ponytail and tattoos.  The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
